Description
True to its high-end G Lens heritage, this Sony E-mount lens features two ED glass elements and three aspherical elements for high resolution and contrast throughout the entire zoom range. It covers approximately a 6x zoom range with a constant F4 aperture. Smoother, more natural defocusing is obtained thanks to circular aperture blades. The lens incorporates advanced optical designs to reduce aberrations and improve image quality. Precision, quiet linear motors and inherited technology result in exceptionally quiet, effective image stabilization, contributing to high-quality movies as well as stills. The filter thread at the front of the lens does not rotate, which is convenient if you're using a polarizing filter.
