Normcore 58mm to 49mm Step-Down Portafilter Basket Kit – Tapered Interior, 0.28mm Holes – Fits 58 mm Bottomless Portafilters – Includes 49mm Dosing Funnel, 0.8mm Puck Screen, 200 Papers

Set your 58 mm espresso machine free—without rebuilding your setup. The Normcore Step-Down Portafilter Basket reduces puck diameter to 49 mm, creating a narrower coffee bed and a gentler, more forgiving flow profile for cleaner, more even extractions. A tapered interior guides water evenly, while 0.28 mm (High-Flow) laser-perforated holes provide fast, repeatable distribution and higher cup clarity—especially friendly to light/medium roasts. Because this basket is deeper than typical 58 mm baskets, it fits bottomless/naked portafilters only. To speed up your first dial-in, the kit includes the essentials for a complete 49 mm workflow: 49 mm dosing funnel, 49 mm 0.8 mm puck screen, retaining spring sized for the 58→49 setup, and 200× 49 mm filter papers. Compatibility & Tamper Note - Bottomless-only fit (58 mm); not for spouted/pressurized types. - Check headspace with puck screen/spring; reduce dose if tight. -Use a 49 mm tamper with this basket (a 49.7 mm or 58 mm tamper will not fit). If you use the Normcore 58.5 mm spring-loaded tamper, you can purchase a 49 mm base and baffle separately.
