The original power retractable running boards since 2002—now with complete smartphone control. The AMP Research® PowerStep™ Smart Series takes the proven PowerStep platform and adds wireless app integration, putting manual override directly in your pocket. Deploy or retract the electric running boards on demand from your iOS or Android device—whether you're loading cargo, washing the truck, or want the steps locked retracted on the trail. The same automatic door-triggered operation the PowerStep has always delivered, with an added layer of control for every situation.Constructed from corrosion-resistant aluminum with an advanced powder coat finish and stainless steel hinge pins at every pivot point. Each power running board supports up to 300 lbs. per door and delivers a 6-inch-wide slip-resistant step surface for stable footing in all conditions. Integrated LED lighting illuminates the step for confident entry in low-light situations. When retracted, the boards disappear under the truck or SUV’s rocker panels—clean lines, uncompromised ground clearance, no hanging hardware. AMP Research's patented plug-n-play wiring connects directly to your vehicle with no complicated splicing or magnet alignment issues. The smartphone app replaces the physical override switch entirely, giving you full manual control without additional hardware. Vehicle-specific fitment ensures a factory-style finish on every application. Professional installation recommended. Includes all hardware, bracketry, wiring, and vehicle-specific instructions. Drilling required on select applications. Backed by a 5-year limited warranty.
