• Safety Protection Mechanism. This 3/4-inch RPZ backflow preventer is designed for continuous pressure piping systems, offering top-level back pressure and siphon backflow protection. It features two independent in-line check valves (with built-in springs and replaceable seats) and a differential pressure relief valve. Even if both check valves fail, the relief valve releases water to the atmosphere, fully stopping contaminated fluid from flowing back into the drinking water supply.
• Compact structure and easymaintenance. This RPZ backflow preventer is designed for compact spaces with a modular bronze body. It features a quarter-turn ball valve and a three-way handle for easy isolation and maintenance. Routine maintenance requires no special tools—simply remove the access cover to inspect or replace the check valve module, relief valve assembly, and valve seat. Four corrosion-resistant 1/4-inch test valves on top allow quick pressure testing without disassembly.
• Working Principle. The central pressure relief valve constantly monitors the differential pressure across the first check valve, comparing upstream pressure with zone pressure. When the differential pressure falls to approximately 2 psi or below, the valve automatically opens to drain water, preventing any potential backflow from check valve failure. This redundant safety design ensures reliable protection against health hazards such as toxic chemicals or suspended solids.
