A DIY project you can complete in minutes, MightyLift! gas-charged lift supports allow you to replace worn, failing lift supports with brand new, fully charged supports in as little as 10 minutes. Lift supports are pressurized cylinders that are used to support hoods, hatches, and rear window glass in automotive and non-automotive applications. Each MightyLift! lift support is custom engineered and manufactured beyond industry standards to provide smoother operating and longer-lasting performance. Individually tested for performance and reliability, they feature hardened, nitride-plated steel shaft construction and a heavy gauge steel body electrostatically painted and heat cured to original equipment OE specs. Additionally, a rubber O-ring piston seal prevents leakage while the self-cleaning piston assembly provides smooth operation and more reliable performance. Lift supports should be replaced in pairs to ensure safe, reliable support of your hood, hatch, or liftgate. No special installation tools required.
