Give this nighttime cough medicine to your child every six hours while symptoms persist. For ages 6 and up, this children's cough medicine requires a different dosage depending on your child's age. Administer 10 mL by mouth to ages 6 to 12 and 20 mL for those 12 and above. Each dose of this long-acting cough medicine for children provides up to eight hours of cough relief.
