This latest revision for the IQ2020 control box (2001–2009.5) features an improved design that reduces stress on the two reinforced relays by providing a more efficient connection for the heater power cord. The large gray terminal block connects the black heater wire to the H1 position, while a separate gray terminal block connects the white (neutral) wire, ensuring reliable and long-lasting heater performance
• How to Know If Replacement Is Needed - To check if your 77119 relay board needs replacing, first turn up the temperature and make sure the heater LED lights up. Next, check the H1 and H2—if there’s no power going to the heater, it’s time to replace the board. A flashing red D9 light also signals a failure. Additionally, if you see signs of damage on the front or back of the board, it definitely needs to be replaced
• Easy Installation - Clear all wires from the old board. Unscrew and remove the cover support, then disconnect the three power wires and remove the protective plate along with the old board. Install the new board and connect the included power jumper. In older control boxes, you might notice a chip on the right side of the new board that prevents the metal guard from sitting properly—simply trim a small section of the guard so it can bend away from the chip, and installation is complete
